Yummy Hummus!

I love hummus!  I love all different varieties of it.  When I discovered jalapeno lime hummus last year I have been going crazy trying to recreate it.  Then I found Trader Joe’s Jalapeno Cilantro Hummus.  Oh my goodness!  Delish!  Below, I’ve included a few of my recent creations:

Starting at 12:00 – Jalapeno Cilantro Lime Hummus

Ingredients
  • 1 (15 oz.) can chick peas
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • ¼ cup tahini (sesame paste)
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp cumin
  • 2 jalapenos
  • 1 large bunch of cilantro

Instructions

  1. Drain the chickpeas. Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender.  Puree the ingredients. Stop the blender and stir occasionally. The hummus is done when it is smooth and looks slightly whipped.

3:00 – Citrus Plain Hummus

Ingredients
  • 1 (15 oz.) can chick peas
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup lemon/lime juice
  • ¼ cup tahini (sesame paste)
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp cumin
Instructions
  1. Drain the chickpeas. Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender. Puree the ingredients. Stop the blender and stir occasionally. The hummus is done when it is smooth and looks slightly whipped.

6:00  – Pesto Hummus

Ingredients
  • 1 (15 oz.) can chick peas
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup lemon/lime juice
  • ¼ cup tahini (sesame paste)
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp cumin
  • 1/4 cup pesto (see my recipe here)
