My caprese salad and skewers are very simple but make an impressive presentation. Simply cut fresh mozzarella cheese and tomatoes to uniform thickness and layer with a leaf of fresh basil.
For the skewers simply take a tooth pick and put a fresh ciligene sized fresh mozzarella ball halfway down, followed by a piece of basil and a fresh cherry tomato on the top.
For the balsamic vinaigrette reduction, realize that however much balsamic vinegar you begin with, it’ll be reduced by about 75%. For this recipe I used about 2 cups of vinegar before I began reducing it. Just simply put the vinegar in a pan on the stove over a medium-low heat, stirring frequently until it reaches the desired consistency.
